Annual Holiday 2017 – Scarborough

The Emmaus Centre
Near Scarborough

Monday 3rd April – Saturday 8th April 2017

This year we are returning to The Emmaus Centre at Wydale Hall between the villages of Snainton and Brompton-by-Sawdon near Scarborough.

The Emmaus Centre

This centre has been used many times in the past the company, and both the boys and the staff have aways had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. The centre is a large self-catering stables conversion situated in the grounds of Wydale Hall and is around twenty minutes drive from Scarborough. We will have exclusive use of The Emmaus Centre and its facilities; which include a large All-Weather sports pitch, an adventure playground and orienteering course. As in previous years this will be a joint holiday with the Juniors and Company Section, although each section will be running their own programme of activities.

4x4 Driving Experience

Activities for the holiday have now been finalised and these can be seen below. As normal we plan to use the centre as a base to visit attractions in the local area such as a Flaming Land Theme Park, 4×4 Driving and even Horse Riding. We will also make use of the attractions of Scarborough, as well as Swimming, Ten-Pin Bowling and a visit to the cinema.

Junior Section Fundraising Racenight – 4th March 2017

*** CANCELLED ***

The Junior Section will be holding a fundraising Racenight on Saturday 4th March in Hawkhead Bowling Club.

The purpose of this event is to raise much needed funds to help subsidise the variety of activities that the Junior Section takes part in throughout the year; including our Monday night activities, nights out and holidays; and it is absolutely essential in helping keeping the cost of our activities as low as possible and affordable for everyone as we possibly can.

Tickets priced £3.00 are now available, and horses are also available for sale at £3.00 . Quite simply give your horse a name; and if it wins its’ race on the night you will receive a prize.

Please note, you can still buy horses even if you are unable to attend. Tickets and horses are available from Junior Section staff both tonight (20/02) and next Monday night.

We look forward to having a good support from as many parents and friends as possible.
