Joint Annual Holiday 2019 – Kirkham

For our holiday in 2019 we returned to one of our favourite destinations, The Boys’ Brigade, Northwest District Training Centre at Kirkham near Blackpool.

This centre has been used many times in the past by the company, and both the boys and the staff have always had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. The centre is a large self-catering centre situated on the outskirts of the town of Kirkham in Lancashire, just fifteen minutes drive from Blackpool. We have exclusive use of the centre and its facilities; which include a large indoor games hall with pool and table tennis tables, an outdoor football pitch, and an adventure playground. As in previous years this will be a joint holiday with the Juniors and Company Section. Normally the sections run their own programme of activities, however this year this is in a more limited capacity due to the low number of boys’ attending.

Activities for the holiday included visits to a Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Go-Karting, Laser-Tag, and some of the other attractions of Blackpool, as well as Swimming and a visit to the cinema.
