Annual Holiday 2023 – Kirkham

This year we are once again returning to The Boys’ Brigade Northwest DIstrict Training Centre at Kirkahm for our annual holiday, which will run from Monday 3rd to Saturday 8th April 2023 (first week of the school Easter holidays).

The centre is self-catering and is situated in the grounds of a former farm which the Northwest District purchased as their headquartes for the centenary of the BB in 1983. The large grounds incorporate a farmhouse which serves as the main office as well as the Wardens flat. The grounds also include a large camping field, pupose built multi use games hall and also two accomodation buildings – Steadfast Lodge and the much larger Centenary Hall which is the accomodation we will be using.

Centenary Hall

As previously this will be a joint holiday with both the Junior Section and Company Section holidaying together, however the sections will be accommodated within rooms of the centre and will operate largely separate programmes of activities; coming together mainly for meals.

The past holidays area of the site under the appropriate sections will show some of our past activity programs as well as some photos.

Activities for the duration of our stay have yet to be confirmed, but we plan to use the centre as a base to visit attractions in the local area including the many attractions in Blackpool..

If you wish your son to attend the holiday, a deposit of £30 must be paid by the below dates:

  • Junior Section – Monday 6th Feburary, 2023
  • Company Section – Wednesday 1st February, 2023

Boys in each section have been issued letters which provide details specific to their section. Boys will be issued with a payment card and the balance of the holiday can be paid up week by week if you wish. The full balance is due no later than Wednesday 22nd March, 2023 for both Junior Section and for Company Section.

Please note that any cancellations after 27th February will be subject to payment in full.
